Seven Seven Global Services, Inc. is seeking a Scrum Master to implement Agile ceremonies, coach squads, and maintain Agile artifacts. The role focuses on facilitating sprint events, removing impediments, and fostering collaboration and continuous improvement across teams.
You will work with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure the backlog is well-groomed and aligned with the product roadmap, while promoting transparency and high-quality delivery.
About the role
This is a Scrum Master role responsible for implementing Agile ceremonies and principles, managing Agile teams, collaborating with Product Owners, and maintaining Agile artifacts. The role involves coaching teams on Scrum practices, facilitating sprint events, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
Support evaluation of squad Scrum maturity and prepare teams for advanced stages of maturity
Lead and coach the team on Agile and Scrum implementation and practices
Enable process activities by inspiring teams to self-align their iterations
Support internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating information
Program and enable consistent team retrospective meetings per the Scrum framework
Program, design and assist team work including daily stand-ups, iteration reviews and sprint planning meetings with the team, Product Owner, and stakeholders
Assist sprint-planning gatherings and sprint reviews, confirming teams understand their velocity to meet sprint promises
Identify and remove blockers, adhere to agile process, and ensure a well-run escalation process for changes impacting iterations
Build a trusting and safe atmosphere where problems can be raised without fear of blame or judgment
Improve people through coaching and by adopting a positive work culture
Offer support to the squad using a servant leadership style and leading by example
Ensure the team is providing software within recognized quality standards by facilitating a working definition of done for Agile stories
Remove obstacles or guide the team to remove obstacles by finding the right personnel
Simplify discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
Remove blockades to team efficiency
Guard the team from external tasks, scope growth or disturbances during the sprint
Challenge the self-organized team to apply team operational improvements and encourage process developments
Support team members to develop and deliver individual obligations to their squad
Detect and resolve conflicts
Function as communication link among the squad, Product Owner, and Stakeholders
Work with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is in place and groomed to the suitable level
Support Product Owner to find approaches for effective Product Backlog mentoring
Help the Product Owner in conserving a product roadmap, holding competitive and market positioning
Make definition of done and definition of ready clear to stakeholders
Help them to plan sprint releases
Ensure that recognized agile software progress matrices (burndown charts, velocity, and defect metrics) are in place
Track team capacity and velocity metrics for planning purposes
Be active in the Agile Office and consult with other Scrum Masters and teams
Track and monitor overall status of demands within delivery teams and provide updates regularly
Coordinate and align with Release Train Engineer on release schedule and monitor status of sprint releases
Manage and clear impediments with the Delivery team and ensure callouts are raised in a timely manner
Manage daily huddle with the team to address callouts on the sprint
Ensure that all Scrum events are productive, done within the timebox, and attended by correct participants
Coach delivery team to apply Agile and Scrum practices and promote team empowerment and self-management
Foster a culture of inspection, collaboration, transparency, and improvement in the delivery team
Monitor delivery team utilization and ensure the delivery team works with their capacity to deliver sprint commitments with highest quality
Monitor resources within delivery team and raise resource related concerns including performance, issues, or capacity
Ensure technical operations readiness by proper coordination with other teams such as operations and support teams
Ensure timely delivery and deployment of features as aligned with Product Owner in release schedule
Monitor work tasks and activities of the delivery team through Daily Stand-up, JIRA status, and JIRA burndown reports
Ensure progress of demands being handled by delivery teams from other tribes are coordinated accordingly
Coordinate and align with vendor providers on sprint releases and update on progress regularly
Coordinate with partners in terms of deliverables they need to work on for each sprint and ensure completion as scheduled
Attend regular meetings specific for the Scrum Master role including SM Cadences, Retrospectives, Springboards and Pre-Springboards
Perform other functions within the group when needed including guild specific initiatives, facilitating meetings, and brown bag sessions
About you
