Overview

Role focused on guiding and enabling Agile/Scrum practices within the team, fostering a productive and collaborative environment, and ensuring delivery of software within quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Implement Agile ceremonies and principles.
• Support in evaluating the Scrum Maturity of the squad and prepare the squad to advanced stages of maturity, at a workable pace for the team.
• Lead the team on how to accomplish Agile/Scrum practices.
• Enable process activities of Agile development/Scrum by inspiring and backing the teams to self-align their repetitions.
• Program, design and assist team work as per the Scrum framework, including daily stand-up meetings, iteration reviews, and sprint planning among the team, Product Owner, and stakeholders.
• Assist sprint-planning gatherings, sprint reviews, and ensure the team understands their velocity and ability to meet sprint promises; promote ownership among team members and effective collaboration with Product Owner and stakeholders.
• Build a trusting and safe atmosphere where problems can be raised without blame, supporting growth and problem solving.
• Encourage learning and foster a positive work culture.
• Ensure the team delivers software that meets recognized quality standards by facilitating a working definition of done (DoD) for Agile stories within each team.
• Support team members to develop and deliver individual obligations; provide direct communication and feedback, offering suitable support or transitioning members off the team as needed.
• Function as a communication link among the squad, Product Owner, and Stakeholders.
• Ensure the product backlog is in place and groomed to a suitable level to start and complete development iterations; assist Product Owner with backlog mentoring.
• Help maintain a product roadmap and ensure effective product backlog management.
• Maintain recognized agile progress metrics (burndown charts, velocity, defect metrics) and ensure the team and Product Owner can input data for these metrics; organize and prepare metric data regularly using repeatable methods.
• Track team capacity and velocity metrics for planning purposes.

Qualifications

• Educational Background – minimum qualification – graduate in any field; preferred postgraduate/MBA in project management or related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Scrum Master.
• Experience in managing complex projects and product development; knowledge of agile methodologies.
• Experience working in an Agile environment; experience managing resources with diverse skills for agile delivery methods.
• Experience working collaboratively with diverse business and IT teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
• Technical proficiency and development background.
