The role focuses on delivering end-to-end SAP SD solutions, including O2C processes, invoicing, and tax localization to meet Mexican regulations. Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an experienced SAP SD Consultant with 10+ years of SAP experience and strong expertise in SAP ECC 6.0. The ideal candidate will have successfully delivered 2–3 full-cycle SAP implementation projects in Mexico and possess hands‑on experience with Mexico-specific SAP localization requirements, particularly electronic invoicing (e-Invoicing).

The consultant will be responsible for supporting and delivering SAP Sales and Distribution solutions, working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful implementation, integration, and ongoing support of SAP SD processes in compliance with Mexican statutory and tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP SD implementation and rollout activities in Mexico.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP SD solutions.
• Configure and customize SAP SD functionality within SAP ECC 6.0.
• Participate in full project lifecycle activities, including:
  • Business requirement gathering
  • Business process analysis
  • SAP configuration
  • Functional specifications
  • Testing
  • User acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Cutover and deployment
  • Go-live and hypercare support
• Design and implement SAP SD processes including:
  • Order-to-Cash (O2C)
  • Sales order management

• Support integration between SAP SD and FI, MM, and other SAP modules.
• Configure and support Mexico-specific electronic invoicing processes.
• Ensure SAP solutions comply with applicable Mexico local tax, invoicing, and statutory requirements.
• Work with technical teams to define functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, and integrations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide root‑cause analysis and functional solutions.
• Support data migration, master‑data activities, integration testing, and reconciliation.
• Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, test scripts, and user training materials.
• Collaborate with business users, technical teams, project managers, and other functional consultants.
• Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to junior SAP consultants.
• Support post-go-live stabilization and continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate should have practical experience with Mexico SAP localization, particularly electronic invoicing and related statutory requirements.

Experience should include:

• Understanding of CFDI requirements and electronic invoice processing.
• Familiarity with Mexico-specific billing and tax requirements.
• Experience supporting integration between SAP billing processes and electronic invoicing solutions.
• Understanding of invoice generation, validation, transmission, cancellation, and related processes.
• Experience working with local statutory requirements and business processes in Mexico.
• Ability to work with technical teams and external/local providers to troubleshoot e-invoicing issues.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP experience, with significant experience in SAP SD.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SAP SD configuration and implementation.
• Experience with SAP ECC 6.0.
• Successfully completed or significantly contributed to 2–3 SAP implementation projects in Mexico.
• Strong experience with Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes.
• Hands‑on experience with Mexico localization and electronic invoicing.
• Strong understanding of integration between SAP SD and FI/MM.
• Experience in requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a global project environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple SAP Mexico implementation or rollout projects.
• Strong knowledge of CFDI and Mexico electronic invoicing requirements.
• Experience working with SAP tax and billing processes in Mexico.
• Experience with SAP interfaces and integration technologies related to e‑invoicing.
• Experience preparing functional specifications for ABAP development.
• Experience working with SAP support, AMS, or post-go-live environments.
• Experience working with multinational organizations and geographically distributed teams.
• SAP SD certification is a plus.
