Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an Assistant Sanitary Design Manager to lead the planning, design and implementation of sanitary and wastewater systems for development projects. You will guide conceptual to detailed engineering and ensure compliance with national codes and environmental regulations.

You will mentor a team of sanitary designers and engineers, coordinate with architects, civil engineers and contractors, review outputs for quality, and provide technical support during construction to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sanitary Engineering and licensure as engineer.
• Proven experience in sanitary design engineering within construction.
• Strong knowledge of codes and standards for sanitary plumbing, drainage, and fire protection.
• Detail-oriented with quality and accuracy; able to work independently in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual, schematic, and detailed sanitary designs for projects.
• Ensure design calculations are accurate; size sewer lines, pump stations, STPs.
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, MEPF teams, and contractors.
• Provide QA/QC on drawings, specs, and estimates.
• Support construction with RFI responses and site inspections.
• Mentor and develop junior designers and engineers.
