Job summary

Sierra Cloud is seeking an experienced Salesforce-focused tester to join our growing team in delivering innovative services. You will develop comprehensive test plans for Salesforce apps, design and maintain automated test scripts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of software testing experience, hands-on knowledge of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and strong SQL skills, plus

Roles and Responsibilities

• Test Planning and Strategy
  - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into test cases and scenarios.
  - Develop test plans, strategies, and test scripts for Salesforce applications.
  - Identify test data requirements and create or acquire relevant test data.
• Test Automation Development:
  - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate automation tools and frameworks.
  - Implement and maintain an effective test automation infrastructure for Salesforce applications.
  - Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and ensure system functionality.
• Test Execution and Defect Management:
  -Execute manual and automated test scripts to validate Salesforce applications against functional and non-functional requirements.
  -Document and track defects, and work with development teams to investigate and resolve issues.
  - Perform regression testing to ensure the stability of Salesforce applications after changes or enhancements.
• Test Reporting and Documentation:
  - Generate test reports and provide clear and concise summaries of test results to stakeholders.
  - Document and maintain test artifacts, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  - Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and administrators, to ensure effective testing of Salesforce applications.
  - Communicate test progress, risks, and issues to project stakeholders in a timely manner.
  - Participate in meetings, workshops, and discussions to provide insights and recommendations related to testing activities.

Required Skills & Capabilities

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on Salesforce applications.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform and customization, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
• Experience in test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, TestNG, or Provar.Familiarity with Salesforce development lifecycle and methodologies.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data validation and manipulation.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Salesforce certifications related to testing, such as Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder or Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Familiarity with source control systems, such as Git or SVN.
