JOB OVERVIEW
The Sales Team Lead is a high-performing Sales Representative recognized as a peer leader within the team. This role remains actively involved in day-to-day sales activities while providing informal leadership, operational support, and communication coordination. The Team Lead serves as a bridge between frontline sales staff and management, helping maintain performance standards, supporting team productivity, and contributing to basic reporting and workflow oversight.
This is not a full people-management role; instead, it is a developmental leadership position designed to strengthen team alignment, knowledge sharing, and execution consistency.

- Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Manila time)
- Holiday: Will follow New South Wales (Australia) holidays
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Execution
- Continue performing inbound and outbound sales responsibilities at a high level.
- Guide customers through energy comparison and assisted online sign-up journeys.
- Maintain individual productivity with adjusted KPIs reflecting leadership duties.
- Model best practices in customer engagement, objection handling, and closing.
- Ensure accurate verbal verification of key plan details in line with compliance requirements.
Frontline Leadership & Team Support
- Act as the primary floor support and go-to resource for Sales Representatives.
- Provide real-time assistance during live customer interactions and escalations.
- Deliver structured peer coaching, call listening, and performance feedback.
- Reinforce a positive, accountable, and high-energy team culture.
- Support onboarding and nesting of new team members.
Performance & KPI Support
- Monitor team activity, conversion, and quality metrics at the frontline level.
- Flag performance risks early and support corrective action planning.
- Encourage disciplined follow-up and pipeline management across the team.
- Partner with leadership to maintain alignment on targets and priorities.
Compliance & Quality Reinforcement
- Ensure strict adherence to approved sales scripts, disclosures, and call frameworks.
- Reinforce regulatory, privacy, and consent requirements for assisted online sales.
- Support QA reviews and help drive coaching actions from audit findings.
- Promote strong CRM hygiene, accurate call notes, and audit readiness.
Operational Coordination & Communication
- Assist with CRM reporting and basic sales activity tracking.
- Help monitor workflow gaps and highlight process improvement opportunities.
- Act as a communication bridge between frontline staff and leadership.
- Cascade updates, procedural changes, and expectations clearly to the team.
- Support daily operational alignment on the sales floor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven success as a Sales Representative in a call center or telesales environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence peers and provide informal leadership.
- Strong inbound/outbound sales and objection-handling capability.
- Excellent conversational English with an Australian-friendly tone.
- High attention to detail, particularly around compliance and script adherence.
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable in fast-paced environments.
- Positive energy and strong team-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and call center technology.
- Resilient, accountable, and solution-focused.
- Experience in the energy or utilities sector is an advantage.
- Prior mentoring, buddy, or SME experience is preferred.
