Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Trade Operations professional to manage end-to-end trade lifecycle, cash management, reconciliations, and related activities in a hybrid setup, with three onsite days a week in Quezon City.

You will collaborate with Advisors, Call Centre and technology partners, stay current with securities industry developments, and contribute to risk control and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or any related course
• LOMA, Canadian Securities Certification or CFSI is preferred.
• Accounting. LEAN, Six Sigma (Scrum Master), Yellow belt trained/certified
• At least 4 year/s relevant professional experience preferably in Investment/Wealth, Securities or similar industryBPO/Shared Service experience would be an asset due to our collaboration with multi-national teams
• Intermediate/ Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook and Teams
• Amenable to work on night shift work schedule and hybrid work set up (3x a week onsite in Quezon City office)

Responsibilities

• Perform day to day operations for trade lifecycle, cash management, reconciliation, corporate actions, communications, and credit functions.
• Communicate, investigate and resolve trade, cash queries, and issues raised by Advisors, Call Centre, and other stakeholders
• Actively manages risks related to trades and cash to avoid operational losses.
• Improve business processes and controls to mitigate operational risks.
• Effectively communicate significant production updates and challenges to Management in a timely manner.
• Drive process improvements and collaborate with technology partners for data enhancements.
• Provide assistance on projects – to meet Management requirements by doing research, identifying needs, and developing/implementing solutions.
• Remain current with relevant securities /investments industry developments specifically those impacting the activities of assigned portfolios and/or internal clients and custodial service provider.

Job description

The role is expected to operate based on understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle from Sales, including Cash Management, Portfolio Reconciliations, Asset Servicing, or any related disciplines. The role incumbent is also required to establish and maintain cordial relationship with various stakeholders, including internal and external parties. The role performed is expected to be majority knowledge based and may be manual in nature (low levels of automation).

Preferred Qualification

• Preferably with experience in Mainframe and/or Form based applications
• Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) in English
• Very high attention to detail
• Analytical, research and problem solving skills
• Good exposure and working knowledge of Markets and Investment Product.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with, establish relationships with the Business Units.
• Good time management skills with the ability to be flexible to changing environments
• Ability to work independently and willing to collaborate with other team members
