Qualifications

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Assistant to join Ace Hardware Phils., Inc in SM City Clark Branch. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in supporting our sales operations and ensuring exceptional customer service across our retail environment. As a Sales Assistant, you will be instrumental in driving sales performance, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining our store's operational excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your sales skills whilst being part of a dynamic retail team.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting customers warmly and assisting them in locating products and making informed purchasing decisions
• Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
• Maintaining product knowledge across our full range of hardware, tools, and home improvement items
• Organizing and stocking shelves whilst ensuring merchandise is displayed attractively and clearly labelled
• Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues professionally to ensure customer satisfaction
• Supporting the sales team in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment in compliance with health and safety standards
• Processing returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies
• Assisting with inventory management and stock audits as required
• Building positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and loyalty

What we're looking for

• Previous retail or sales experience is advantage; training will be provided for suitable candidates
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor and genuine interest in helping others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging effectively with diverse customers
• Numeracy skills and comfort with using point-of-sale systems and basic IT applications
