Responsibilities

• Assist the store manager/supervisor in managing the departments he/she handles.
• Hit sales targets under his/her departments.
• Ensure stock availability and repeat ordering.
• Dispose aging merchandise.
• Ensure accurate pricing for customers.
• Orient sales clerks and demos on policies and display standards.
• Maintain discipline and observance of company policies and SOPs.
• Update selling staff on stock, prices, and item locations.
• Assume responsibility if the store supervisor is absent.
• Store Officer In-charge: manage cash and sales collections, custodianship of funds.

About the Position

Ace Hardware Phils., Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team in SM City Cebu Department Store. This is a full‑time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales within our retail environment. As a Sales Assistant, you will be helping with the daily operations of the department under your responsibility. Additionally, you will be acting as the OIC in case the store supervisor is not around and do similar duties as assigned. Specifically, you will be doing the following:

Roles & Responsibilities

• assists the store manager/supervisor in managing the departments the he/she handles

• hits sales targets under his/her departments

• ensures availability of stocks & ensures repeat ordering is done consistently

• disposes aging merchandise

• ensures accurate pricing of stocks to customers who inquiry

• orients sales clerks & sales demos on policies, standards, and methods on how to display merchandise

• maintains discipline in the branch & ensures observance on company policies, regulations, and standard operating procedures

• updates selling personnel under his/her department informed in regards with stock (new or old), prices, and location of items

• assumes responsibility in case the store supervisor is absent

• if assigned as Store Officer In-charge, Manage Store's Cash and Check Sales collections and assume custodianship of Store Funds such as Loose Change Fund and Petty Cash Fund.
