Job summary

1Aviation Groundhandling Services Corp. in Pasay is seeking a Safety Specialist to support the Safety Management System, promote regulatory compliance, and enhance safety across airport operations.

You will conduct audits, inspections, training, and risk assessments, while assisting in incident investigations and safety initiatives to foster a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• College graduate.
• Airline or airport operations experience is preferred.
• Background in aviation safety, compliance, or occupational safety is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that 1Aviation's Vision, Mission, and Values are achieved.
• Promote and ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, Security, and Customer Service standards in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Participate in meetings with internal departments, government agencies, and external organizations related to airport operations and occupational safety.
• Assist in addressing airport operational safety concerns through data gathering, analysis, and reporting.
• Support safety investigations for incidents and accidents as directed by the Safety Manager or Safety Officer.
• Conduct ramp audits and routine airside inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Perform safety inspections of 1Aviation facilities and equipment.
• Conduct safety briefings, training sessions, drills, and emergency response exercises.
• Propose and support safety initiatives to encourage employee participation and safety awareness.
• Prepare periodic safety reports, trend analysis, and safety communications.
• Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) for new stations, equipment, or systems as required.
• Assist in reviewing and updating company safety programs and training modules.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Safety Manager or Safety Officer.

As a Safety Specialist , you will play a key role in supporting the company's Safety Management System (SMS) by ensuring compliance with aviation safety regulations, promoting safety awareness, and identifying risks across airport operations and facilities. An ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:

Educational Background & Experience

• College graduate
• Airline or airport operations experience is preferred
