Job summary

Our Clients in the Philippines is seeking a Safety & Security Officer to strengthen Occupational Health & Safety, security, and workplace safety programs. You will ensure compliance with Philippine regulations and support security risk assessments, incident management, and coordination with internal teams, contractors, property management, and external agencies.

The ideal candidate has hands-on safety experience in a corporate or multinational setting, with knowledge of building and facilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/College degree in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• DOLE-accredited Safety Practitioner / SO3 or equivalent.
• 5–6 years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety, corporate safety or facilities safety.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine OHS standards incl. RA 11058 and DOLE D.O. 198-18.
• Hands-on experience in safety inspections, accident/incident investigation, safety training, risk assessment, and compliance.
• Experience in Security Threat & Risk Assessment or corporate security operations preferred.
• Working knowledge of building, electrical, mechanical, fire safety, and local safety codes.
• Experience working with contractors, suppliers, landlords, property management, facilities teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Secretary of the Occupational Health & Safety Committee.
• Prepare meeting minutes, monitor recommendations, and report on committee activities.
• Coordinate and facilitate Occupational Health & Safety training programs for employees and management.
• Conduct mandated safety training in compliance with applicable DOLE requirements.
• Participate in workplace Occupational Health & Safety inspections.
• Investigate workplace accidents and incidents and prepare reports and recommendations.
• Maintain and support an effective accident and incident recording system.
• Coordinate corrective actions to address identified safety risks and prevent recurrence.
• Assist government agencies during safety, health, environmental, and accident‑related inspections and investigations.
• Provide guidance to employees and management on Occupational Health & Safety matters.

The role will serve as a key resource in ensuring compliance with Philippine occupational safety and health regulations, while also supporting security risk assessments, incident management, emergency preparedness, and coordination with internal teams, contractors, property management, and external agencies.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on safety professional with strong corporate or multinational organization experience and a solid understanding of workplace safety, building and facilities operations, and security risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Occupational Health & Safety

• Serve as Secretary of the Occupational Health & Safety Committee.
• Prepare meeting minutes, monitor recommendations, and report on committee activities.
• Coordinate and facilitate Occupational Health & Safety training programs for employees and management.

• Review security audit findings and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate or support investigations involving critical security incidents.
• Prepare incident reports and analysis for management and concerned business units.
• Ensure alignment with applicable Enterprise Security policies and standards.
• Support the implementation of physical security recovery plans and strategies during emergency or disaster situations.

Facilities & Workplace Safety

• Provide safety and security guidance relating to office and facilities operations.
• Work closely with Facilities, Engineering, Property Management, landlords, contractors, fit‑out consultants, and outsourced service providers.
• Review workplace conditions and identify potential safety, security, fire, electrical, mechanical, and building‑related risks.
• Support the implementation of appropriate controls and corrective measures.
• Provide practical solutions to safety, security, and facilities‑related incidents and operational concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Must be a DOLE‑accredited Safety Practitioner / SO3 or equivalent.
• At least 5–6 years of relevant experience in Occupational Health & Safety, corporate safety, EHS, facilities safety, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine Occupational Health & Safety standards and regulations, including RA 11058 and DOLE D.O. 198-18.
• Hands‑on experience in safety inspections, accident/incident investigation, safety training, risk assessment, and compliance.
• Experience in Security Threat & Risk Assessment and/or corporate security operations is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of building, electrical, mechanical, fire safety, construction, and applicable local safety codes and standards.
• Experience working with contractors, suppliers, landlords, property management, facilities teams, and external service providers.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
