Job summary

Waste Solutions & Management Services, Inc. seeks an HSE professional to support workplace safety, ensure compliance with DOLE regulations, and uphold ISO standards across sites.

You will inspect workplaces and project sites, verify safe tools and equipment, assist the HSE Manager, manage incident data, training records, and drive continuous improvement. This role is on-site in the Philippines and offers growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing updated safety policies and procedures compliant with DOLE and other regulators.
• Inspects workplaces and sites to ensure health and safety compliance, with feedback on violations.
• Ensures employees use safe tools and equipment and maintains gear.
• Assists HSE Manager to promote injury prevention and share OHS information with stakeholders.
• Conducts targeted inspections to prevent harm and address policy violations.
• Gathers incident data with the OSH Committee and notifies Top Management with timely reports.
• Keeps records of safety events, training, and drills.
• Supports ISO management by aiding implementation and reporting opportunities for improvements.
• Supports conformance to ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

1. Assists in providing the workplace with updated policies and procedures in compliance with rules and regulations issued by DOLE and other government instrumentalities that guarantees safety in the workplace.

2. Inspects the workplaces and project sites to make sure that employees are compliant with health and safety regulations and providing feedback in the event of violations.

3. Makes sure that employees have and use safe tools and equipment and ensure that the equipment are properly maintained.

4. Assist the HSE Manager in encouraging measures that might prevent injuries and illness, providing OHS information to employer, employees and other stakeholders at the project site directly related to the project undertaken.

5. Carrying out targeted inspection to prevent harm and hold those responsible for breaking policies and procedures.

6. Gathers data in case of incidents/accidents together with other members of the OSH Committee. Conducts an immediate assessment and review meetings in case of an incident and submits reports promptly to Top Management for appropriate action.

7. Keeps records of all safety events, training, and drills.

8. Supports the HSE Manager in his role as the ISO Management Representative in the efficient implementation, control and integrity of the ISO certificate. Reports to Top Management regularly on opportunities of improvement on change requirements or innovations.

9. Supports full compliance and conformance to the ISO management standards 9001, 14001 & 45001

10. Performs other functions that maybe assigned from time to time.
