Job summary

PIODURAN ENGINEERING DEVT INC. is seeking a Safety Officer to implement and monitor the project SHE/HSE program in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.

You will conduct site safety inspections, ensure compliance with risk assessments, JSA and SWMS, lead toolbox talks and safety briefings, enforce PPE use, monitor PTW for high‑risk activities, and maintain safety records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE/HSE) Program in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations
• Conduct regular site safety inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions
• Ensure compliance with approved risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and daily safety briefings for workers and site personnel
• Monitor proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce site safety requirements
• Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements for high-risk activities such as hot works, work at height, confined space, and electrical works
• Monitor safety requirements for construction activities, equipment, tools, scaffolding, lifting operations, and work areas
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and prepare appropriate reports and corrective actions
• Maintain and update safety records, inspection checklists, incident reports, training records, and safety documentation
• Recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions to eliminate or control identified hazards
