Job summary

Duros Land Properties, Inc. is seeking a Construction Safety Officer to lead the OSH program on our construction site in the Philippines. The role focuses on developing and monitoring safety policies, conducting toolbox talks, and ensuring strict compliance with regulations to protect workers.

The candidate will perform risk assessments, inspect sites and equipment, and coordinate emergency responses, while promoting PPE usage and safe work practices among all personnel.

• Develop, implement, and monitor the project’s Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of the construction site, equipment, tools, and work areas.

• Ensure compliance with safety policies, standards, and regulations.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety orientations for workers and site personnel.
• Monitor PPE usage and safety practices among workers.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare reports.
• Implement emergency preparedness and response procedures on site.
• Perform risk assessments and recommend control measures.
• Oversee high-risk activities such as working at heights, excavation, lifting operations, electrical work, and confined spaces.

Construction Safety Officer responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the project's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the project's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program

• Conduct regular safety inspections of the construction site, equipment, tools, and work areas

• Identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures

• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, construction safety standards, and applicable regulations

• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety orientations for workers and site personnel

• Monitor workers' proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-miss occurrences and prepare corresponding reports

• Implement emergency preparedness and response procedures on the construction site

• Conduct risk assessments and recommend control measures for identified hazards

• Monitor high-risk activities such as working at heights, excavation, lifting operations, electrical work, and confined-space activities
