Job summary

DMCI Homes is seeking a Safety Officer to join our project teams in Metro Manila. The role focuses on enhancing workplace safety, conducting inspections, hazard analyses, and enforcing DOLE guidelines to prevent accidents.

The ideal candidate holds a four-year degree, COSH training, and 1+ year of safety experience; strong report writing and analytical skills are essential for this position. Willingness to travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree required.

• Proficient in job hazard analysis, safety inspections, and DOLE reports.
• Knowledgeable in occupational safety/health standards.
• Skilled in assessing, inspecting and analyzing workplace hazards and risks.
• Skilled in preparing safety or accident reports.
• Willing to be assigned to any project site within Metro Manila.

Responsibilities

• Conducts workplace safety inspection to ensure zero loss time accidents
• Conducts hazard analysis of work instruction methods and procedures
• Conducts toolbox meetings to remind workers and employees on ensuring tools, equipment and work stations are safe to avoid any form of accident.
• Reviews and approves all work permits and safety plans
• Evaluates risks and hazards to determine and immediately enforce preventive and corrective actions
• Leads the implementation of safety program
• Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses
• Promotes safety practices and enforces safety guidelines at the job site
• Performs emergency response drills
• Receives reports from and responds to orders issued by Department of Labor inspectors

• Proficient on preparing job hazard analysis, inspection/safety and DOLE compliance reports
