Job summary

GreenPlus Corporation in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines, is hiring a Safety Officer to conduct safety inspections, identify hazards, and support security operations across company plants. The role involves audits, incident reporting, and emergency response coordination.

A related degree and basic safety training are preferred, with 0–1 year of experience in safety or security roles. Applicants will contribute to maintaining safety standards, preparing reports, and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Preferably with valid SO2 training certificate and experience in workplace safety implementation.
• At least less than 1 year to 1 year of experience in safety compliance, security operations, or related field.
• Knowledgeable in occupational health and safety standards and security operations.
• Good communication, coordination, and report preparation skills.
• Ability to conduct inspections, enforce compliance, and handle multiple concerns.

Responsibilities

• Conducts regular safety inspections and audits in assigned areas and company plants.
• Identifies workplace hazards, unsafe practices, and security risks, and recommends corrective and preventive actions.
• Inspects fire exits, fire extinguishers, emergency lights, housekeeping, and other safety equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Conducts safety orientations, drills, and awareness activities for employees and contractors.
• Promotes a culture of safety awareness and compliance throughout the organization.
• Responds promptly to emergencies, alarms, accidents, disturbances, and other safety or security incidents.
• Investigates incidents, accidents, and near-miss events and prepares corresponding reports.
• Maintains accurate records of inspections, incidents, observations, and compliance documentation.
• Prepares and submits incident reports, daily security logs, and safety observation reports.
• Coordinates with management and external authorities during serious incidents and emergencies.
• Conducts regular roving inspections to monitor compliance with safety and security requirements.
• Recommends improvements to workplace safety systems, emergency procedures, and security operations.
• Performs other related safety and security duties as may be assigned by management.
