Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a safety, facilities, and MHE operations leader to help maintain high standards of safety and operational excellence at the San Rafael Davao Regional Distribution Center. The role requires directing safety programs, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will lead safety training, manage equipment readiness, and oversee facility upkeep while supporting audits and emergency responses to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational safety, industrial technology, facilities management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in safety, facilities management, engineering, or warehouse operations.
• Certifications such as BOSH (basic occupational safety and health) or DOLE safety officer are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and enforcement of safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance activities for MHE, facilities, and safety programs.
• Oversee facilities operations, contractor management, and site compliance.
• Support audits, inspections, and business reviews; prepare safety and operations reports.
• Ensure on-site safety culture and 5S practices.

Responsibilities

Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Quality (HSSEQ)

• Lead the implementation and enforcement of safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and workplace hazard evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with DOLE Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards and company safety requirements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Facilitate safety training, emergency preparedness drills, toolbox meetings, and safety awareness programs.
• Monitor and report safety performance metrics, incidents, and corrective action status.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and behavioral safety initiatives.

Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Management

• Manage the maintenance, servicing, and operational readiness of forklifts, reach trucks, pallet movers, batteries, chargers, and other warehouse equipment.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities with vendors and service providers.
• Monitor MHE utilization, repair costs, and equipment performance.
• Ensure operators are properly trained, certified, and compliant with safety standards.
• Maintain equipment documentation, maintenance records, permits, and regulatory certifications.
• Lead equipment inspections to ensure operational safety and efficiency.

Facilities Management

• Oversee maintenance and upkeep of warehouse buildings, offices, utilities, and site infrastructure.
• Manage contractors and vendors for facility maintenance and improvement projects.
• Ensure proper operation of electrical, fire protection, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and security systems.
• Coordinate facility repairs and preventive maintenance schedules to minimize operational disruptions.
• Support business continuity planning and facility emergency response activities.
• Monitor site housekeeping standards and compliance with 5S practices.

Operational Support

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, facilities, and equipment reliability.
• Support customer audits, regulatory inspections, and business reviews.
• Prepare and present safety, MHE, and facilities performance reports to site leadership.
• Manage budgets related to safety programs, MHE maintenance, and facility upkeep.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Technology, Facilities Management, or related field.

Experience

• At least 3-5 years of experience in Safety, Facilities Management, Engineering, or Warehouse Operations.
• Experience managing MHE maintenance programs and facility operations in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Experience in safety compliance, incident investigation, and contractor management.

Certifications

• BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) certified or equivalent.
• Certified Safety Officer by DOLE is preferred.
• Training in First Aid, Fire Safety, Incident Investigation, and Risk Assessment is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and standards.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and material handling equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and facility maintenance systems.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to emergencies effectively.

• Willing to be assigned and work on-site in San Rafael Davao Regional Distribution Center.
• Available to support operations during emergencies, audits, and off-hours maintenance activities.
