We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Officer to join us in Carmona, Cavite. This plays a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all employees and stakeholders across our transport and logistics operations. The Safety Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs to minimize workplace hazards and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. This position is integral to our commitment to creating a safe working environment and protecting our workforce from potential risks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and safety risks across all operational areas

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols in line with regulatory requirements

• Provide comprehensive safety training and induction programs to all employees, contractors, and visitors

• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective measures

• Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, including incident rates, near-misses, and safety compliance statistics

• Collaborate with management and departmental heads to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement

• Maintain detailed safety documentation, records, and reports required by regulatory bodies

• Conduct safety drills and emergency response exercises to ensure readiness and employee preparedness

• Liaise with external regulatory agencies and respond to compliance inspections and audits

• Review and evaluate personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and ensure appropriate usage

What we're looking for

• Recognize safety qualifications or certifications such as OHSAS, or equivalent health and safety credentials

• Proven experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar health and safety role, preferably within manufacturing, transport, or logistics industries

• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards applicable in the Philippines

• Excellent understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures

• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective safety training and awareness programs

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels

• Proficiency in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to maintain comprehensive safety records

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn safety management systems

• Valid driver's license and willingness to conduct on-site inspections across different locations
