REED ELSEVIER SHARED SERVICES (PHILIPPINES) INC. is seeking an Accounting Analyst II (Overhead Accounting) to support Record-to-Report activities, including general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close.

The role also covers financial reporting and budgeting support to ensure accurate records and compliance with accounting standards. You will collaborate with Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and business stakeholders, delivering timely insights

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years' work experience.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Oracle Fusion, SAP or PeopleSoft.
• Must have experience with record-to-report or billing.

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting and R2R activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Manage and analyze overhead-related transactions, including accruals, prepayments, payroll-related entries, bonus provisions, restructuring costs, travel and entertainment expenses, and corporate credit card transactions.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and accounting standards.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and business stakeholders.
• Prepare financial reports and provide insights to support business decision-making.
• Assist in process improvement initiatives, documentation, and other ad hoc accounting projects.
• Identify and resolve routine accounting issues by applying established accounting principles and procedures.
