Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland seeks a strategic finance leader to oversee global controllership, close processes, and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions. You will partner with CFOs and Controllers to drive efficiency and ensure compliance with IFRS and other GAAPs.

You will lead and scale high-performing teams across geographies, drive BPO delivery, and guide complex accounting assessments in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience in multinational finance environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with other GAAPs.
• Proven experience managing international financial reporting, audits, and compliance across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale finance transformation and system implementation projects.
• Experience developing and scaling delivery teams, shared service centres and GBS centres.
• Experience with procurement functions desirable.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Netsuite) and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee global controllership functions across jurisdictions, including close, statutory reporting, and internal controls.
• Partner with client CFOs/Controllers to drive process improvements and efficiency.
• Act as senior advisor ensuring alignment with global finance strategies and compliance.
• Scale the BPO delivery team and develop FAAS capabilities.
• Oversee consolidation of financial statements under IFRS and multiple GAAPs.
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting regulations and corporate policies.
• Lead technical accounting assessments and guidance on complex transactions.
