Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland's Global Statutory Audit department seeks an experienced Audit Manager to oversee a portfolio of multinational clients, including Irish/UK audits. You will lead senior staff and coordinate audit planning and delivery across complex engagements.

You will mentor juniors, review work papers, liaise with clients, and contribute to proposals for new business. The role demands IFRS/UK GAAP expertise and strong leadership under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of external audit experience.
• 4 years as a manager or assistant manager in a portfolio.
• Experience with multinational audits.
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS and/or Irish/UK GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Oversee audit work of assistants and seniors on Global Statutory Audit engagements.
• Liaise with Irish/UK and international clients on planning and closing meetings.
• Review audit working papers.
• Provide guidance and perform audit procedures on complex issues.
• Supervise and train junior staff to maintain firm standards.
• Foster client relationships and identify value-added opportunities.
• Participate in preparing proposals to prospective clients.
