Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) seeks an accomplished finance leader to head global controllership and strategic finance initiatives in a multinational setting. You will drive financial close, reporting, and compliance while partnering with CFOs and senior controllers to improve processes and efficiency.

You will lead cross-geography teams, oversee ERP platforms, and advance transformation projects, aiming for high-quality outputs and robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA).
• Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience in multinational environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with other GAAPs.
• Proven experience leading international financial reporting, audits, and compliance across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale finance transformation and system implementation projects.
• Experience developing and scaling delivery teams, shared service centres and GBS centres.
• Experience with procurement functions desirable.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Netsuite) and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen.
• Fluency in English

Responsibilities

• Lead global controllership functions including financial close and statutory reporting across jurisdictions.
• Provide strategic financial insights and partner with client CFOs and Controllers.
• Act as a senior advisor to multinational clients for alignment with global finance strategies.
• Influence and scale the BPO team for the FAAS practice.
• Oversee preparation, review, and consolidation of IFRS/GAAP financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations and policies.
• Lead proposals, pricing strategies, and stakeholder engagement for new opportunities.
• Manage and mentor finance professionals across geographies; deliver projects on time and budget.
• Drive automation, standardisation and ERP enhancements across operations.
• Champion digital auditing tools and continuous improvement initiatives.
