Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health Global Business Services – Manila is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to support system-wide and larger scale market operational billing for the Medical Group. You will collaborate with leaders to ensure charges are entered and reconciled timely and to support revenue cycle improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of revenue cycle or medical billing experience, familiarity with US healthcare systems, and proficiency in Epic and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of revenue cycle, medical billing, or healthcare operations experience.
• Experience with US healthcare systems, EMR/EHR (Epic) or managed care billing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leaders across departments to ensure charges are entered and reconciled in a timely manner.
• Develop communications and educational materials to improve charge reconciliation.
• Support cross-functional teams to assess, plan, implement, and track billing charges.
• Provide oversight of chart closing processes to ensure compliance.
• Create and distribute regular reports for operational leaders.
• Support provider and management leadership development activities.
• Utilize systems to enter, extract, and compile patient billing records.
• Oversee billing edits, claims, utilization, and scribe-generated documentation work queues.

Revenue Cycle Specialist

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Revenue Cycle Specialistwill support system-wide and larger scale market operational billing in the Bon Secours Mercy Health medical group. Thisposition willperformBSMH Medical Group billing and charge reconciliation by collaborating closely with key system leaders. This role will scope andsupportspecificrevenue cycle improvementprojects, initiativeimplementation, and provide key data and analysis support for the Medical Group.

Essential Job Functions

• Works collaboratively with medical group leaders across the ministry, finance, revenuemanagementand other departments to ensure all charges are entered and reconciledin a timely manner.
• Develops communications and educational materials to enhance charge reconciliation in the medical group at the system level oridentifiedmarkets based on scope of initiative.
• Supports cross-functional teams to effectively assess, plan,implementand track billing charges.
• Provides oversight to chart closing process to ensure proper processes are followed by providers
• Creates and distributes regular reporting including business continuity downtime reports and annual mandatory learning reports for operational leaders
• Supports on-going provider andmanagementleadership development activities and programs.
• Efficiently uses various computer systems and tools to enter, extract, and compile the necessary records to support patient billing.
• Provides oversight of billing edits, claims,utilization, and Ambient AI scribe–generated clinical documentation work queues and supports BSMH practice-owned work queuesin accordance withrevenue cycle management business rules, including review and reconciliation of discrepancies.

Licensing/Certification

• Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS)from American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM)or Certified Professional Biller (CPB)fromAmerican Academy of Professional Coding (AAPC)(preferred)

Education

• High School Diploma or GED(required)
• Bachelor’s degree inhealthcare administrationor related field (preferred)

Work Experience

• 2+ years of revenue cycle, medical billing, or healthcare operations experience (required)
• Experience with US healthcare systems, EMR/EHR (e.g., Epic), or managed care billing (preferred)
