The Manager, Workforce Optimizationis responsible forproviding strategic and operational leadership for Resource Optimization Center (ROC) and centralized schedulingfunctionsGBS supporting Bon Secours Mercy Health. This role oversees workforce optimization initiatives focused on maximizing resourceutilization, improving operational efficiency, enhancing scheduling effectiveness, and ensuring consistent service delivery across supported operations.
The Manager partners with operational, clinical, and administrative leadership to develop and implement workforce strategies, staffing models, scheduling processes, and performance improvement initiatives that align with organizational goals. This role is accountable for operational performance, service excellence, KPI management, workforce planning, and continuous improvement across centralized staffing and scheduling services.
Provide leadership and oversight for Resource Optimization Center (ROC) and centralized scheduling operations within a global captive center environment.
Ensure efficient and effective scheduling support services across supported departments and operational areas.
Establish operational goals, performance standards, and service expectations aligned with organizational objectives.
Monitor daily operations to ensure productivity, quality, service levels, and operational consistency.
Lead and developexperts, schedulers, and operational support staff.
Develop and implement workforce optimization strategies to maximize laborutilization, staffing efficiency, and scheduling effectiveness.
Oversee staffing allocation processes, scheduling workflows, capacity planning, and resource balancing activities.
Partner with operational leaders to support staffing models, workforce forecasting, and labor management initiatives.
Analyze operational trends and workforce metrics to identify optimization opportunities and operational risks.
Support enterprise workforce planning and centralized staffing initiatives.
Establish,monitor, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and operational benchmarks.
Review operational reporting and analytics to assess performance, productivity, resourceutilization, and service quality.
Drive accountability for achieving operational targets and continuous improvementobjectives.
Present operational performance updates, trends, and recommendations to leadership stakeholders.
Utilize data-driven decision-making to improve operational outcomes and workforce efficiency.
Lead process improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, standardization, automation, and customer service enhancement.
Identifyworkflow gaps, operational inefficiencies, and process improvement opportunities using operational data and stakeholder feedback.
Support implementation and optimization of workforce management, scheduling, and operational technologies.
Participate in organizational initiatives, transitions, and operational transformation efforts.
Promote best practices and operationalstandardizationacross teams and functions.
Collaborate with clinical, operational, HR, finance, and administrative leaders to support workforce and scheduling needs.
Serve as a key operational partner for centralized staffing and scheduling strategy discussions.
Facilitate communication and coordination across domestic and global operational teams.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignmentonoperational priorities and service expectations.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, workforce management standards, labor guidelines, and operational procedures.
Oversee quality assurance activities and operational audits related to staffing and scheduling processes.
Maintainaccurateoperational documentation, workflows, and reporting standards.
Support risk mitigation and issue escalation processes related to workforce operations.
Licensure/Certification Preferred:Registered Nurse (RN), UKG Certified
Required Minimum Education:Bachelor's Degree in businessadministration,statistics, mathematics, industrial engineering,healthcare administration,managementor related field
Minimum Years and Type of Experience Required:
7+ years of experience in workforce management, staffing operations, scheduling operations, healthcare operations,BPO,GBS,or shared services environments.
7+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing operational teams.
Experience in a healthcare environment supporting hospitaloperations preferred
Experience withworkforce planning methodologies, labor optimization strategies, and operational forecasting.
Required: English
Preferred: Spanish or other languages
