Job summary

Five9 seeks a Revenue Accountant with an active CPA for our Manila, Philippines office. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of accounting experience, strong communication skills, and experience with ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition. Familiarity with NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA is required with experience in SaaS or software industry.
• 3–5 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Assist on sales contracts review and assessment.
• Ensure revenue recognition follows policy and ASC 606.
• Prepare deal/contract summaries for completed transactions.
• Prepare journal entries for revenue, deferred revenue, and AR.
• Assist with audits, reconciliations, and external auditors.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities.
• Collaborate with Sales Operations, Customer Support, and Collections.
• Identify and implement process improvements and SOX controls.
• Participate in revenue accounting and order-to-cash projects.
• Stay updated on new revenue rules and policies.

To complement our rapid growth, we are seeking a Revenue Accountant with an active CPA, based in our Philippines office. The person in this role should be a strong communicator who is able to work effectively with peers and management alike in a high‑paced environment. The ideal candidate is someone who has accounting, strong technical accounting experience and can respond quickly, energetically, and enthusiastically.

Responsibilities

• Assist on sales Contract review and assessment.
• Ensure revenue recognition is in accordance with company policy and SaaS revenue recognition accounting standards
• Prepare deal/contract summaries for material completed transactions
• Prepare journal entries for revenue, deferred revenue and accounts receivable related accounts on a worldwide basis.
• Assist with financial audits including reconciliations, support documentation, and communication with external auditors
• Assist with month end and quarter end close activities
• Work closely with Sales Operations, Customer Support, and Collection team as needed to obtain information necessary to analyze and reconcile customer accounts.
• Assist with managing and resolving Billing and Revenue Customer issues.
• Identify and assist with implementation of process improvements, including SOX related process improvements and access controls.
• Support and participate on revenue accounting as well as order to cash cycle related projects.
• Assist in various projects as needed
• Stay current on new revenue accounting rules and help develop appropriate policies and processes

Qualifications

• This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance or related field, minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance,
• CPA Required, Big 4/Public Accounting experience
• Revenue Recognition experience including adoption of ASC 606
• Experience of working with NetSuite and Salesforce is plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Must have software/SaaS experience.
• Must have solid verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Amenable to work US time or night shift schedule
