Job summary

Malachite Value Builders is looking for a qualified occupational health professional to diagnose and manage work-related illnesses, perform pre-employment physicals, and issue Fit to Work clearances for new hires. The role involves reviewing annual medical results, coordinating sick leave approvals, and planning suitable return-to-work arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage work-related illnesses and injuries by providing appropriate treatment and recommendations
• Perform physical examinations for all newly hired employees and issue Fit to Work clearance
• Review and analyze results of Annual Physical Examination for all directly hired employees
• Issue doctor referrals for specialists, laboratories, and hospital admission
• Coordinate for approval with the Immediate Superior of employees filing for long sick leaves and decide on the date of return to work and issuance of Fit to Work clearance
• Conduct home visits to employees with long sick leaves, especially in work-related injuries and accidents
• Suggest to Immediate Heads for proper placement regarding work schedules and guidelines for employees with medical conditions
• Collaborate with safety professionals, Human Resource, and Management to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Develop and evaluate occupational health programs, policies, and procedures to enhance employee health and safety
• Oversee preparation and submission of Annual Medical Report and Monthly and Annual Accident Reports to DOLE
