Job summary

Spinneys Philippines is seeking a Retail Compliance Officer to ensure all stores operate in line with company policies, Philippine laws and industry standards. The role focuses on safeguarding the organization against regulatory risks through audits, inspections, training and corrective action monitoring.

You will lead regulatory monitoring, coordinate with local regulators, and drive actions on labeling, pricing, sanitation and safety across multiple stores.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Legal management, Risk Management or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in retail compliance, internal audit, risk management or operations.
• Experience in supermarket, FMCG or multi-store retail environment.
• Experience dealing with FDA, DTI, DOLE, LGU is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with regulations from DTI, FDA, DOH, DOLE, BIR, BOC and local government units.
• Ensure compliance with product labeling, pricing, shelf-life, sanitation and occupational safety requirements.
• Coordinate with stores during government inspections and audits.
• Monitor validity of store permits, licenses and certifications.
• Check adherence to policies on pricing accuracy, promotions, stock handling, cash handling and loss prevention.
• Monitor compliance with FDA food safety rules, sanitation standards and product recall procedures.
• Ensure proper handling of expired, near expiry, damaged or recalled products.
• Verify accuracy of pricing, promotions and price tags vs POS.
• Coordinate with HR, Legal and Operations for disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Prepare compliance audit reports, inspection summaries and risk assessments.
• Maintain centralized records of audits, permits, violations corrective actions and escalated critical compliance risks to management.
