Job summary

Newport World Resorts is seeking a Resorts Security Duty Officer to oversee security operations, supervise personnel, manage incidents, and enforce protocols protecting guests, employees, and assets.

You will conduct risk assessments, coordinate with the Emergency Response Team, and prepare daily reports while responding promptly to incidents with appropriate actions across departments and with law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• College graduate in criminology or security management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supervising security operations, preferably in hospitality or gaming.
• Professional Security Certification LESP or willingness to train for it.
• Ability to work in shifting schedules or graveyard shifts.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

The Resorts Security Duty Officer is responsible in overseeing security operations and to ensure that proper security protocols are implemented for the security and protection of guests, employees and company assets. Supervise security personnel, managing incident response, conducting risk assessments, and implementing security policies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Security Operation Management

• Conduct patrol and inspection of security operations in assigned shifts.

• Report to Resorts Assistant Manager or Security Management observed or reported incidents, suspicious activities, irregularities and / or potential safety and security hazards and recommended countermeasures.

• Respond to any reported incident, coordinate with the concerned department or law enforcement agency and make an incident report.

• Prepare a daily report and ensure all security incidents were recorded and reported properly.

• Assist the Emergency Response Team during emergency situations.

Security and Risk Assessment

• Perform regular patrols to premises to identify security vulnerabilities.

• Conduct emergency response team drills such as fire, medical and commotion scenarios.

• Coordinate with concerned department regarding the identified hazard in the facility.

Customer Service

• Respond to guest inquiries regarding property, facilities, promotions, etc.

• Attend guest complaints and ensure that their concerns are coordinated to the appropriate department.

• Promote positive customer relations by treating customers with the utmost courtesy, diplomacy and respect in adherence with policies and procedures.

Events Engagement

• Attend coordination meetings for the upcoming events.

• Formulate and coordinate operation plans for special functions when required.

• Coordinate with security agency for the deployment of security personnel

• Oversee the events and make an after activity report.

People Management (External Security)

• Ensure that the manning is complete and in accordance with prepared and issued shift requirements.

• Report any observed deviation to standards or non-compliance incidents of external security personnel to the security agency supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a College Graduate, preferably in criminology, security management and administration or other similar courses.

• At least three (3) years experience in supervising security operations or other similar positions. Having Knowledge in Hospitality or Gaming Industry.

• Must have a Professional Security Certification (License to Exercise Security Profession "LESP"), or willing to undergo training and certification.

• Must be able to work in shifting schedules or on graveyard shifts.
