Job summary

Joy Nostalg Hotel is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor / Cost Estimator to support residential development projects in the Manila area. The role involves take-offs, estimating man-hours, materials, equipment and time, and preparing bills of quantities from plans and specifications.

You will schedule work, liaise with PBAC and Management, maintain cost databases, and ensure proper documentation. Strong communication and detail orientation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• License is an advantage but not required.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience as Quantity Surveyor or Cost Estimator in a Residential Development Company.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies across land development, civil, architectural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and finishing work.
• Thorough and updated knowledge of costs of construction materials and labor.
• Must communicate well across all levels and be meticulous and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs and estimate man-hours per discipline.
• Estimate labor, materials, equipment and time requirements from plans, specifications and construction documents.
• Provide cost estimates and bill of quantities.
• Schedule work using Excel, Primavera or other scheduling tools.
• Collaborate with PBAC, Construction Management and Supply Chain teams on project cost estimates.
• Build and update database; file plans, reports and other contract documents for easy access.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.
