Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an Environmental Associate in the Philippines (Hybrid: onsite Mon-Thu, Fri WFH) to support renewable energy projects from origination through construction readiness, with emphasis on permitting, stakeholder coordination, and project monitoring.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in ESIA/EIA, regulatory compliance, and environmental management, with strong English/Filipino communication and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a bachelor’s degree related to Environmental Sciences or Engineering.
• 3–5 years of ESIA/EIA, environmental permitting and regulatory compliance experience in the Philippines, preferably in renewables or infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of Philippine regulatory processes and permitting requirements.
• Technical background in environmental management and ESG standards.
• Ability to coordinate with partners and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Fluent in English and Filipino with strong written and verbal communication.
• Team-oriented, proactive, able to manage multiple workstreams.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and conduct desk and field work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of renewable energy projects from origination through construction and commissioning.
• Prepare and review project timelines for environmental workstreams; monitor progress, milestones, schedule and budget.
• Organize and manage the database of project documents.
• Support securing permits, approvals, and environmental clearances from EMB, MGB, DENR, and others.
• Contribute to ESIA/ESMP planning, review, and monitoring.
• Coordinate with third‑party service providers for environmental studies and permitting.
• Engage with government agencies and LGUs as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.
