Job summary

Satellite Office's Australian client seeks an Accounts Officer to own day-to-day bookkeeping from the Philippines. You will manage Xero, AP/AR, and liaise with the manager to keep books accurate.

The role includes payroll support, reporting, compliance, and process improvement, with 100% work-from-home and autonomy to shape processes. Flexible hours align with Philippine time, offering valuable exposure to an Australian business.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Ability to work independently in a small business setting.
• Flexibility to handle ad hoc requests.

Responsibilities

• Book and reconcile invoices, payrollers, and vendors; perform bank reconciliations in Xero.
• Manage AP/AR; issue invoices; chase debtors; maintain aged receivables.
• Prepare month-end/quarter-end reports and KPI packs for CFO review.
• Follow up on missing timesheets, data, and approvals until resolved.
• Support payroll processes and payroll tax lodgements as needed.
• Administer contracts, renewals, supplier agreements, and document control.
• Oversee onboarding checklists, leave tracking, and light IT support.
• Document and map finance/operational processes to reduce single points of failure.
