Job summary

Emapta Philippines seeks a U.S. Conventional Underwriter to apply expert judgment on loan applications from the U.S. market. You will use Encompass LOS, perform DU/LPA checks, and assess credit, income, assets, collateral, and appraisals while supporting complex loan decisions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of U.S. residential mortgage underwriting experience.
• Hands-on Encompass LOS proficiency with DU/LPA.
• Experience in a paperless U.S. mortgage environment and knowledge of conventional underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Assess loan applications for accuracy, eligibility, and compliance with guidelines.
• Work with Management and Funding to resolve complex loan scenarios and deadlines.
• Make underwriting decisions on new submissions including approvals or suspensions.
• Provide underwriting guidance to production teams on loan requirements.
• Review outstanding conditions and finalize approvals within funding turnaround times.
• Investigate Quality Control findings and maintain SLA-based responsiveness.
