Job summary

Keystone Bookkeepers is seeking an Accounting Onboarding Manager to lead our client onboarding function and develop the onboarding team for U.S. bookkeeping services. You will ensure smooth transitions with accurate books, configured systems, and documented processes while coaching new staff.

This role emphasizes leadership, training, process improvement, and delivering an outstanding client experience in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of U.S. bookkeeping experience.
• Leadership or people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
• Experience working in a U.S. bookkeeping, accounting, or CPA firm.
• Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple clients, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding team members and new hires.
• Conduct training on U.S. bookkeeping processes and best practices.
• Assign onboarding projects to support development.
• Review work before client delivery for accuracy and quality.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback and coaching.
• Collaborate with leadership and recruiting on onboarding progress.
• Improve onboarding SOPs and training materials.
• Manage end-to-end onboarding for new clients.
• Ensure clean books and proper system configuration before production.
• Coordinate onboarding timelines and project completion.
• Review reconciliations and financials.
• Lead bookkeeping cleanup projects and migrations when needed.
• Participate in client onboarding meetings and deliver exceptional service.
• Continuously improve onboarding processes for efficiency and scalability.
