Job summary

BruntWork seeks an experienced Client Onboarding Accountant to guide new clients through accounting implementation and prepare them for a smooth transition to the Operations Team. You will own the client relationship during implementation, run onboarding meetings, review records, and coordinate with our offshore team while ensuring quality and adherence to scope.

The role requires US accounting principles experience, solid communication with clients, and ability to document recurring procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience applying US accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client kickoff and onboarding meetings to confirm needs and scope.
• Review accounting records, systems, and access; identify cleanup priorities and risks.
• Develop a client-specific implementation plan with deadlines and deliverables.
• Validate opening balances, reconciliations, and prior-period information.
• Coordinate work with offshore accounting team and review completed work for accuracy.
• Document client procedures, preferences, reporting requirements, and recurring responsibilities.
• Establish recurring procedures, close schedules, and reporting expectations before handoff.
• Complete transition and knowledge transfer to Operations Team.
