Job summary

BruntWork seeks a detail-oriented Construction Takeoff & Detailing Specialist for Structural Steel & PEMB. You will review drawings, perform precise quantity takeoffs, and compile organized material breakdowns to support the estimating team on commercial projects.

Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Acrobat, and AutoCAD is required, with hands-on PEMB and structural steel detailing experience. This is a part-time, remote position (20 hours/week) enabling flexible collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

Direct, hands-on experience performing takeoffs for commercial structural steel
Experience with PEMB projects is a must-have
Experience in construction takeoffs, estimating support, or steel detailing
Proficiency with PEMB and structural steel construction

Responsibilities

Review architectural, structural, and engineering drawings and specifications.
Perform material quantity takeoffs for beams, columns, trusses, purlins, girts, fasteners, panels.
Prepare accurate material lists and quantity breakdowns for the estimator.
Identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential issues in drawings.
Assist with CAD drawings, structural detailing, and plan revisions as needed.
Coordinate with the estimator to ensure accurate material calculations and quotes
