Job summary

DOXA is seeking a highly skilled BIM Specialist / Tekla Detailer to translate project requirements into accurate Tekla models, shop drawings, and erection drawings for large-scale structural steel projects. You will coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and field teams, delivering fabrication-ready deliverables and resolving clashes across disciplines.

The role requires 3+ years of BIM/steel detailing experience, proficiency in Tekla Structures and Revit, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in drafting, engineering technology, construction technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three+ years of structural modeling, BIM, or steel detailing experience; experience with Tekla Structures and Revit; large-scale projects; US-team coordination is a plus.
• Proficiency with Tekla Structures and Revit; ability to read architectural/structural documents and identify conflicts; knowledge of fabrication and erection practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed structural BIM models using Tekla Structures and Revit.
• Identify and communicate model conflicts, missing information, and constructability concerns; participate in reviews and clash resolution.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications to detail dimensions, welds, holes, connections, and fabrication requirements.
• Generate material lists, CNC data, and fabrication documentation; perform quality control of personal work.
• Execute project schedules; communicate progress and roadblocks with project teams and field personnel.
