Agent is seeking a Structural Fabrication Estimator to join our remote team. You will perform detailed takeoffs, prepare estimates and bids, and support pre-construction for structural fabrication projects.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years experience in heavy fabrication, know PlanSwift, Bluebeam and Procore, and can work independently with strong attention to detail while coordinating with vendors and clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of structural fabrication estimating experience.
• Strong experience with takeoffs, bid preparation, and cost estimation.
• Background in structural steel, custom metal fabrication, or related heavy fabrication.
• Fluent English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed material takeoffs and quantity takeoffs for structural metal fabrication projects.
• Prepare accurate estimates, bids, and pricing proposals.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify scope and potential cost impacts.
• Prepare submittals, revisions, and RFI responses.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, clients, and internal team members.
• Communicate with clients and vendors by phone when necessary.
• Support pre-construction activities and subcontractor coordination.
• Manage multiple estimates and project deadlines simultaneously.
• Work within the company's internal job tracking and AI-powered quoting system.
• Collaborate remotely with Mark VeRost and the senior estimator to review estimates and maintain pricing accuracy.
• Identify potential scope gaps, discrepancies, and estimating risks before bids are submitted.
