Job summary

Twoconnect is seeking an experienced Steel Estimator to support project delivery for a New Zealand fabrication company. The role involves accurate take-offs in Excel, preparing detailed steel estimates, and interpreting 3D drawings to ensure precise structural estimates.

You will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a focus on scalable estimation processes, using Excel templates, CRM, and SharePoint for coordination, while staying updated on costs and project specs.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of steel estimation experience.
• Experience with take-offs using Excel is essential.
• Strong understanding of structural and architectural steel components.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate take-offs using Excel.
• Prepare and submit detailed steel estimates including weights, materials, painting and welding quantities.
• Interpret 3D drawings and technical plans for precise estimations.
• Develop and improve estimation processes and systems for efficiency.
