Job summary

Profitmaster Global Outsourcing in the Philippines is seeking a Technical Estimator with hands-on sheet metal experience to join our fast-growing team. You will prepare dimensional drawings from customer and tender drawings and estimate costs while mentoring our offshore team to stay razor-sharp and market-ready.

You will also lead technical calculations, source materials, and develop manufacturing solutions that optimise waste reduction and quoting accuracy across projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on sheet metal experience.
• Strong understanding of production floor processes.
• Ability to analyze sheet optimization and reduce material waste.
• Skilled in providing accurate time and cost estimates for complex jobs.
• A natural mentor, capable of training and guiding others.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dimensional drawings from customer and tender drawings.
• Perform 3D simulations, programming, modelling and assess tooling capabilities.
• Maintain drawing register and assist with updates.
• Assist with job data entry (ITMS).
• Assist CSOs and customers with drawing requirements and quote preparation.
• Prepare, estimate and submit quotations with material prices and outsourcing details.
• Program press brakes without operator amendments.
• Liaise with customers and BD team to ensure design meets requirements.
• Source components from suppliers.
• Win and enter orders as required.
• Prepare bill of materials.
• Revise and update existing drawings.
• Develop manufacturing solutions leveraging supply chain to fulfil needs.
• Understand customer quality requirements and convey them to production via written instructions and drawings.
• Add value where possible to Unique Laser and its Clients.

• Australias leading laser cutting service provider including plasma cutting, perforation, folding and fabrication.
• Supporting Australian manufacturers nationally for over 50 years.
• Providing in-house technical support including cad design and planning to further assist their clients requirements.

What youll do:

• Prepare dimensional drawings from customer and tender drawings
• Responsible for all 3D stimulation / programming / modelling and assessment of tooling capabilities.
• Keep and maintain up to date drawing register and assist with drawing updates
• Assist with job data entry (ITMS)
• Assist CSOs and customers with drawing requirements and quote preparation
• Prepare, estimate and submit quotations to customers including project specific information (e.g. material prices, outsourcing, etc)
• Program pressbrakes without the need for operator to amend
• Liaise with customers and business development team to ensure design is as required
• Source components from suppliers
• Win and enter orders as required
• Prepare bill of materials
• Revise and update existing drawings as required.
• To develop manufacturing solutions that utilise the supply chain to fulfil customer needs and expectations.
• To understand the quality requirements of the customer and to convey them clearly to production in the form of written instructions and drawings
• Add value where ever possible to Unique Laser and its Clients
