Job summary

Office Beacon LLC is seeking a Senior Steel Detailer / Estimator Trainee in the Philippines. The role focuses on advancing from detailed modeling to steel estimating, leveraging Tekla Structures and related workflows on fabrication projects.

You will build 3D models, create shop drawings, and generate material takeoffs while learning estimating processes and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with Tekla Structures and steel detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
• Experience with fabrication drawings and bills of materials.
• Willingness to learn estimating and material takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 3D models and shop drawings using Tekla Structures.
• Prepare fabrication, erection, assembly, and part drawings.
• Produce material lists and fabrication-ready documentation.
• Interpret structural, architectural, and civil drawings.
• Identify drawing conflicts, scope gaps, and fabrication issues.
• Collaborate with estimating, production, and project teams.
• Receive hands-on training in estimating, material takeoffs, Tekla PowerFab, Bluebeam, and internal workflows.

Senior Steel Detailer / Estimator Trainee

Are you an experienced Steel Detailer looking to take the next step in your career?

We're looking for a Senior Steel Detailer / Estimator Trainee to join our team! This role is ideal for professionals with strong Tekla Structures experience who want to expand their expertise into steel estimating while working on exciting fabrication projects.

What You’ll Do

• Create accurate 3D models and shop drawings using Tekla Structures
• Prepare fabrication, erection, assembly, and part drawings
• Produce material lists and fabrication-ready documentation
• Interpret structural, architectural, and civil drawings
• Identify drawing conflicts, scope gaps, and fabrication issues
• Collaborate with estimating, production, and project teams
• Receive hands‑on training in estimating, material takeoffs, Tekla PowerFab, Bluebeam, and internal estimating workflows

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with Tekla Structures
• Steel detailing and fabrication drawing experience
• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings
• Knowledge of assemblies, bills of materials, revisions, and steel fabrication
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and solve technical problems

Nice to Have

• Grating and miscellaneous metals experience
• Experience supporting U.S.-based steel fabrication projects
