Job summary

Oportun is seeking a Sr. IT Asset Data Engineer to design, implement, and optimize IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and CMDB solutions within ServiceNow.

You will partner with the Configuration Manager to build scalable asset data, automate integrations, and improve data accuracy, governance, and lifecycle management. As a senior technical contributor, you will lead initiatives, support audits, develop reports and dashboards for compliance and executive visibility,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in Tech with ITAM/CMDB focus.
• 3+ years developing ServiceNow Asset Management/CMDB.
• Strong knowledge of ITAM/IS/CMDB best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage data and data quality of ServiceNow ITAM, SAM, and CMDB solutions.
• Partner with Configuration Manager and SAM Admin to engineer scalable asset data solutions.
• Support audits by ensuring asset inventory consistency and traceability.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Infrastructure, Security, IT Operations, and owners to improve asset data quality.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data solutions for compliance and executive reporting.
• Collaborate with ServiceNow developers to enhance asset-related integrations.
• Assist in evaluating new ServiceNow Asset Management capabilities and recommend enhancements.
