Emapta Philippines is seeking a Senior Finance Officer to uphold financial integrity, strengthen reporting accuracy, and support strategic decision-making across diversified investments. This permanent WFH role offers a global career path with cross-border collaboration and growth opportunities.

You will lead month-end close, AP/AR controls, GST compliance, and financial reporting, while enabling cash flow monitoring, audits, and variance analysis.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Australian Accounting Standards.
• Proficiency in general ledger (GL) management, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial reports, supporting schedules, and variance analysis.
• Knowledge of GST, BAS/IAS workpapers, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting external audits and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
• Understanding of payroll accounting, payroll journals, and payroll funding processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, data validation, and financial reporting.

Responsabilités

• Review and, when required, record financial transactions, including sales, expenses, and bank movements.
• Review and update general ledger entries to ensure accurate account coding.
• Maintain supporting documents, including receipts, invoices, and approval records.
• Identify unusual entries, misclassifications, and transactions requiring month-end adjustments.
• Review supplier invoices for accuracy, approvals, GST compliance, and GL coding.
• Monitor the Accounts Payable aging schedule and elevate overdue or high-priority payables.
• Review customer invoices and, when required, record customer payments.
• Monitor the Accounts Receivable aging schedule and coordinate collection follow-ups with site teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation, schedules, and supporting records.
• Track auditor requests and maintain a log of audit queries and outstanding items.
• Monitor daily cash balances, expected cash inflows and outflows, and short-term cash requirements.
• Track supplier payment cycles, customer collection trends, inventory balances, and prepaid accounts while escalating potential cash flow risks.
• Perform reconciliations for bank, AP, AR, cash, and related accounts.
• Match transactions to supporting documentation.
• Validate subledger-to-general ledger reconciliations.
• Identify items requiring accruals, adjustments, or follow-up.
• Maintain the month-end close (MEC) checklist to improve reporting efficiency.
• Prepare month-end supporting schedules and review financial reports.
• Update weekly and monthly financial dashboards.
• Track revenue and expense trends, identify variances, and report significant findings for month-end review.
• Maintain fixed asset registers, accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure supporting schedules reconcile with the general ledger.
• Organize digital records and maintain document version control for audit and compliance.
• Upload approved payroll payment files.
• Monitor payroll funding requirements.
• Maintain payroll schedules and prepare payroll journal entries.
• Ensure accurate GST coding.
• Review BAS and IAS workpapers.
• Support timely tax payments and statutory compliance requirements.
