Job summary

MedVirtual seeks a senior AI strategist to shape and execute a global AI roadmap, integrating data governance, security, and business-case development across functions. You will lead multi-department initiatives, manage vendor networks, and drive responsible AI adoption in a remote environment.

The role requires deep AI/ML expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to deliver measurable ROI while collaborating with security and finance teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technology, digital transformation, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent working experience.
• Proven track record delivering multi-disciplinary strategy within corporate operations.
• Direct experience implementing AI use cases with measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute AI strategy: build a comprehensive roadmap for AI adoption across corporate functions, aligned to business goals.
• Lead AI readiness efforts — data governance, tool selection, security, and business case development.
• Identify, prioritize, and implement AI use cases: partner with departments to understand workflows and pain points, then translate business needs into cost-effective AI solutions.
• Lead AI transformation projects end to end — planning, budgeting, execution, and operationalization — ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with measurable outcomes.
• Support client-facing AI enablement: work with business units to understand client-related AI needs.
• Own AI risk and responsible-use policy: collaborate with security to define and implement policies for safe, responsible AI use.
• Build and maintain an external partner/vendor network for AI initiatives; track vendor roadmaps and emerging innovation.
• Own budgeting and financial management for AI tools, pilots, and projects — track spend, evaluate business cases, measure ROI.
• Own performance management: define and track KPIs for AI initiative impact, capture lessons learned, and identify optimization opportunities.
• Lead thought leadership on ethical, sustainable, and compliant AI practice, aligning with organizational values.
