Job summary

Caylent is an AI-first cloud services company hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Cloud Native Applications team. You will guide delivery on Caylent's largest, most strategic client engagements, directly supervising software engineers and architects, and partnering with sales and PMs to ensure successful outcomes.

You will shape architecture, drive AI-enabled solutions, and ensure scalable, production-ready implementations across complex enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of proven experience in software development and AWS cloud-native systems.
• 4+ years of previous experience managing a team of technical direct reports.
• Experience managing professional services engagements with multiple stakeholders and high complexity.
• Strong background in scalable architectures and modern engineering practices.
• Experience with multiple backend languages (Python, Node.js, C#, or TypeScript) and frontend frameworks (React, Vue, MVC, .NET).
• Learning and building with AI for productivity and client solutions.
• Strong experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience in API integrations across applications and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development project teams to deliver AI-first, production-ready solutions at scale.
• Own technical requirements gathering, architectural decisions, and backlog refinement.
• Coach and mentor engineers and architects to support high-stakes engagements.
• Manage client interactions, risk, and roadmap communication with senior leadership.
• Collaborate with project managers and leaders to navigate multi-stakeholder environments.
