Caylent is seeking a seasoned Director of Cloud Native Applications to lead our App Dev, AI, and ML practice. You will guide delivery, enable engineering teams, and collaborate with clients and sales to shape high-impact cloud-native solutions on AWS.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cloud engineering and software development with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience leading and scaling an engineering practice or department, ideally within an AWS-focused services company.
• Proven experience delivering large (multi-million dollar) software projects.
• Deep expertise in AWS services, architectures, and best practices.
• Strong background in DevOps, IaC, and automation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the strategic vision for the Application Development, AI, and ML practice, aligning with company objectives and AWS best practices.
• Establish and promote methodologies, architectures, and delivery patterns for modern cloud-native applications and AI-enabled solutions.
• Lead and mentor a large team of engineers, architects, AI, and consulting professionals.
• Oversee delivery excellence, ensuring high-quality outcomes and customer satisfaction, and leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate delivery.
• Strengthen partnerships with AWS, Anthropic, and other technology partners to enhance services.
• Support pre-sales, contribute to go-to-market strategies, and drive revenue growth through technical capabilities and customer value.
