Job summary

Caylent is a fully remote global cloud services company seeking a talented Cloud Architect to join our MSP team. You will design and deliver cloud solutions for clients, evaluate libraries and services, own implementation stories, and advance cloud-native patterns and serverless architectures.

Work hands-on with AWS, observability, and DevOps practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring others, and contributing to internal IP/open source. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field with 4+ years IT experience, or 6 years IT experience without degree.
• 3+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services.
• 1+ year code-defined infrastructure experience.
• 1+ year CI/CD experience.
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
• 3+ years Cloud Native patterns with AWS Lambda.
• 3+ years building scalable, automated infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement advanced cloud workloads for clients.
• Evaluate libraries, tools, and services for suitability.
• Own the implementation of stories and engineering work for clients.
• Perform research and documentation for problems and potential solutions.
• Use frameworks to qualify problems, pain points, and potential jeopardies.
• Build on Cloud Native patterns, serverless architectures, and automated delivery.
• Push the boundary of event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on involvement in development, enforcing SDLC standards.
• Move between big-picture thinking and managing details.
• Participate in cross-functional delivery teams to client solutions.
