Job summary

Staff X - Offshore Staffing is seeking a senior accountant to service Australian clients from a home-based setup. You will handle financial statements, tax returns, BAS, IAS, and comprehensive compliance with high autonomy and client liaison with ATO/ASIC.

The role requires 2–3 years in Australian public practice, strong Xero skills, and excellent English writing for client communications. Remote work from the Philippines with exposure to Australian clients.

Qualifications

• Two to three years hands-on experience in an Australian public practice.
• Proficiency in Xero, with experience in Xero Practice Manager, BGL and Infinity is a strong advantage.
• Strong written English communication suitable for professional client correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for Australian clients.
• Prepare and review BAS, IAS; assist with Division 7A, FBT, CGT and related matters.
• Prepare depreciation schedules and perform general ledger reconciliations.
• Liaise with clients and with ATO/ASIC on their behalf.
• Assist clients with Xero queries and payroll as required.
• Manage own workflow to meet client deadlines and lodgements.
• Prepare professional client correspondence with clarity and accuracy.
