Job summary

Hunt St Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Accountant based in the Philippines to manage day-to-day finance operations for an Australian client. The role focuses on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and project accounting within an independent contractor framework.

Responsibilities include managing supplier invoices, processing payments in AUD, handling payroll for Australian employees, and providing timely financial insights to project managers and Directors.

Qualifications

• Accounting or finance degree required.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience taking ownership of Australian accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong experience with AP data entry, invoice processing, coding, supplier reconciliations, and payment preparation.
• Experience with Australian payroll, including STP and superannuation requirements.
• Strong general ledger, reconciliation, and month-end accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day accounts payable activities, including data entry, coding, verification, and payment runs.
• Manage accounts receivable processes: invoicing, allocations, reminders, and collections.
• Handle Australian payroll processing, timesheets, STP reporting, and related reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger and perform month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Lead project accounting including budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis.
• Provide financial insights and reporting to project managers and leadership.
