Job summary

GrowthAssistant is recruiting a Customer Support Assistant (Seasonal Part-Time) for an ecommerce memory-preservation brand. You’ll provide high-quality chat and email support during the Black Friday period, delivering a concierge experience with empathy and efficiency.

You’ll work part-time, 1:00 PM–5:30 PM EST, Monday–Friday, in a fully remote role. Prior customer-facing experience and strong writing are essential, with CRM tools like Gorgias and Google Workspace familiarity a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in customer-facing roles (chat and email support preferred).
• Exceptional written communication: clear, empathetic, human, polished.
• Typing speed and accuracy for real-time chat.
• Multitask across conversations without sacrificing quality.
• Proven ability to de-escalate situations with empathy.
• Good judgment and problem-solving; avoid over-escalation.
• Experience with CRM platforms (Gorgias or similar), Google Workspace, and Slack.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume customer interactions via live chat and email with speed and warmth.
• Deliver a concierge-level, relationship-driven support experience.
• Engage customers proactively to guide them toward purchase.
• Support conversion with soft selling and checkout assistance.
• Manage cancel/save interactions with empathy to retain customers.
• Maintain fast response times and accurate records in CRM tools.
• Flag friction points and collaborate on process improvements.
