Job summary

US-Based Construction Company - Commercial Lighting Distribution is seeking a Remote Quotations Specialist to own the front-end quoting process for commercial lighting projects: reviewing bid packages, organizing fixture schedules, coordinating vendor pricing, and producing accurate quotations to help our clients win jobs and protect margins.

You will build organized bills of materials, request and track vendor pricing, and prepare clear quotations for general contractors and developers.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years in construction estimating or related technical role.
• Ability to read architectural/electrical drawings and specs.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in numbers.
• Clear written and spoken English for US-based teams.

Responsibilities

• Review bid packages and identify required materials.
• Build organized bills of materials (BOM) for projects.
• Request, track, and organize vendor pricing.
• Compare products with value-engineered alternatives.
• Prepare professional quotations for GCs and developers.
• Coordinate with estimating lead and project management.
• Maintain quotes, revisions, and assumptions records.
